The Obsidian Edit

14 August 2026 · 4 min read

Every house begins with one shape. Ours began with a curve of black glass, poured warm and left to settle into something that catches light the way water does at night.

The Noctis Collar took eleven attempts. The first ten were beautiful and wrong — too heavy at the throat, too polite in the shoulder. The eleventh sat exactly where a collarbone wants weight, and we stopped there.

Everything in the Obsidian Edit answers to that first curve: the drops echo its fall, the stacks echo its shine. Worn together they read as one thought rather than three purchases.
